EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) is a method of uncovering and resolving negative emotions and behaviours by tuning into and balancing the left and right hemispheres of the brain. EFT works on the electrical or meridian systems- the most subtle and powerful levels of the human body and mind. EFT goes to the source of the issue to allow the body to process and resolve problematic memories, beliefs and behaviours.
EFT is known as the 'tapping technique' because it uses gentle tapping on specific parts of the body, face and chest. When these parts of the body are tapped on specific areas of the brain are activated and traumas that the brain has difficulty processing can be processed and safely stored. Once the trauma is safely processed, the symptoms that resulted from the original trauma disappear.
"EFT is a simple, powerful process that can profoundly influence gene activity, health and behavior."Bruce Lipton, PhD, Author of The Biology of Belief.
As we process these emotions we are able to break old patterns of behaviour and find new and positive ways of seeing our past experiences, and create positive expectations for the future. EFT allows emotions to be resolved and balanced. You can make positive changes by introducing EFT into your life. Instead of taking months or years using conventional talk therapy, EFT often produces results in a few sessions.
As EFT resolves problematic emotions you will enjoy a better relationship with yourself and others. When you change emotional patterns of behaviour from within you see the difference in your everyday life. Because the changes in emotion come from within yourself, the new ways of feeling are suited to you.
